I'm real happy about how things are going. I was maybe a bit flat today, but I was also definitely tighter especially in the hamstrings and glutes. My weight was down to 152.8 which is quite a bit under my weight class. I still think I have 1-2 pounds of fat to lose over the next week or two and then I'll cut back on my cardio. I'll have another high carb day today (about 450 grams). I did that last week and I dropped 2 pounds.

Nationals- 5 weeks out
Well, after the North Americans, I immediately started my game plan for Nationals. I allowed myself some cheat foods on Saturday night and Sunday, but was mostly clean. I started back perfect on Monday with my regular training schedule and calories. I didn't start right where I left off with calories, instead I put some of the carbs back in for the week. I felt great all week and was thrilled with how I look and feel.
These pics are taken on Friday. Because my weight is so low and I'm close to contest ready with 5 weeks to go, I used this Friday as a high carb day. I also want to see how i look after a day of very high carbs. I went up to 400 grams today. My weight is 154.6

2nd Place at North Americans
The show is said and done and I took 2nd in the LW class. It was a good battle but I was happy with how I looked. I did see what I need to improve on for NPC Nationals. SO i'll work on those over the next 6 weeks. I looked a bit better on Saturday than on Friday so I think I need to carb up earlier next time around.

Pre-judging results
Pre-judging is over and it is a close one once again! I was very tight and looked just like I wanted to. I maybe could have been a tad fuller but all in all, better than last year and I'm happy. I think it's between me and one other guy who is thicker but not quite as hard. I won't know until tomorrow. I'll continue my eating plan tonight.

Woke up feeling great. Tight, hard, but a bit flat. I weighed 151.4 this morning which is about 2 pounds lighter than last year. I'll finish by following may plan of little salt, 5 oz. water each meal and 40 grams of carbs from oats or sweet potatoes every 2 hours.

1 Day out from North Americans
one day to go and things are right on track. I woke up this morning (at 4:15) looking exactly how I wanted. Way tighter than last year and not too flat either. Originally I had planned to carb up all day, but I decided not to start than until my 2:00 PM meal. At that point I'll have about 40 grams of carbs from oats or sweet potatoes every two hours along with 5 ounces of protein. I'll drink normal water until 4:00 and then drink just about 5 oz. with each meal. I'll stop salting any food today, bringing my sodium intake to about 1 gram.

2 Days out from North Americans
With two days to go, I can't remember the last time I was this pleased with my progress. I looked exactly like I wanted this morning. I was down .8 in weight (153.4) and was without a doubt tighter and harder looking, especially in the glutes and hamstrings and just a touch flat and that looked fine after I pumped up. I will continue the plan today and cut out about 22 more grams of carbs while keeping protein, fat and water the same. I'll drop my sodium another 500mg to 1500.
